Daily Work Wear 3

Hi Again

I wore this dress today, I totally love it. It is non maternity H&M.

With maxi dresses readily available at every high street store, there really is no need to go out and spend loads on a maternity version.
I have worn this dressed up for a party and it proves how versatile it is.

Once you loose the bump this dress can go on and become a staple item in your wardrobe!

Can you believe how much this little beauty was?
£15 - H&M. Purchased in May 2010.

I have some other lovely maxi dresses purchased from other high street stores..... watch this blog for more tips!

Daily work Wear 2

Hi ladies

This outfit was worn last week when I was 28 weeks pregnant.

Here I have teamed a pair of maternity Gap Jeans (wisely purchased when they had their 30% discount sale) and a non maternity Top Shop cream zip collar blouse.

Jeans (£39) - They are distressed denim with holes in the knee
Cream Top (£35) Top Shop last winter.

I remembered that this top was pretty loose when I wore it last year not pregnant so I figured it might still fit now..... and it did! yipeee

This look is still very current and even though I do not purchase items because they are in fashion, it does help boost your confidence knowing that you can still be trendy and pregnant.

For the shoes, I just have a pair of low heel boots on.

This look was inspired from an image I found of Nicole Kidman pregnant wearing jeans and a loose blouse. I immediately had a think about what I had in my wardrobe and tried to put my own twist on it! Check out the link below

Always try to put a twist on what you see others wearing by turning it into something you can create from basics at home, you can save a fortune!

Hope that this was useful

Daily Work Wear 1

Hi Guys

So in this image I am on my way to work. Currently 28 weeks pregnant I managed to work my existing wardrobe around a stable pair or Harem pants I grabbed from Camden when I was in my early stages of pregnancy.

Black denim wash T-"Mango" (£12)
Denim waist coat - currently in all hight street stores and can instantly add a bit of edge to any outfit, mine is about 15 years old....
Black harem pants - "Select" Camden (£12)

This look can be recreated so easily and I bet you have pretty much all these items in some variety in your wardrobe!

I actually purchased 2 pairs of the pants, one in a 10 and a grey pair in a 12. I am saving the grey pair for later months.

They are so comfi and I would recommend them to all pregnant ladies.

Hope you found this useful. xoxo

Welcome to High Street Mama

Hiya

I created this blog so that I could share my fashion clothing tips with other mums. It is not always necessary to splurge out on maternity pieces that cannot be worn once you get your pre baby body back!!!
I think it is key to invest in regular high street pieces that will hopefully carry you through for as long as possible and keep you looking good for as long as possible.

I am not saying no to maternity, but by mixing them with a few new pieces and incorporating your existing wardrobe, you can ensure that you still keep those heads turning and for all the right reasons!

happy reading
